The NACBA was formed in 1992 to ensure that the voices of consumer debtors and their attorneys are heard in the halls of Congress, the Judiciary and other arenas affecting consumer debtors. As a California Advocate Leader for the NACBA Mies will be traveling to Washington, DC for the "NACBA Capital Hill Shop" Feb. 26-27 to meet with legislators to keep them informed of the key issues bankruptcy clients in the area have encountered. Mies’ main goal is Advertisement To help do this Mies needs your input; she is gathering stories to take to Washington, DC. These stories may be from people who have been affected adversely by 1) student loan debt, 2) debt settlement scams, or 3) victims of loan mod scams and foreclosure.
