AGUANGA - A car tumbled 20 feet down an embankment in Aguanga and left the driver with major injuries, a spokeswoman said today.

Firefighters received a call shortly before 2 p.m. about the single- vehicle crash that happened over the side of Sage Road, south of Bach Road, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Jody Hagemann said.

The driver was flown to a hospital for treatment of injuries Hagemann described as major. The California Highway Patrol did not have any immediate information as to how the motorist ended up in the ditch.
