After battling our tenacious gopher in the front yard for over a month, my son gave up on probing and set traps in five of the runs. He got the varmint in less than two hours. Now he has to fill in the runs which are all over the lawn. We have two flags left to sell at the Post for $20. Leave a message with Susan, our bartender, if you want to reserve one. The Ladies’ Auxiliary is putting on a Valentine’s Day Gourmet Dinner on Feb. 14. You’ll recieve five courses with wine and champagne at a cost of $25 per person. Reservations are required. Call Reba at 763-2254 for your reservation. Seating is limited. All members of the community are invited to our meals and activities. Days and hours of operation are Wednesday and Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. and Advertisement And don’t forget to save your pull tabs for Ronald McDonald House and cancelled stamps for "Stamps for the Wounded." But they don’t need flag, liberty bell or presorted stamps. Activities for the last part of January (which is "Oatmeal" Month) are: Jan. 18 Mike’s roast pork w/potatoes & gravy, veggies, salad, dessert Jan. 19 Men’s Auxiliary Meeting 9 a.m. Jan.20 Comrade’s eggs to order, bacon or sausage, all-you-can-eat pancakes Jan. 23 Reba’s hefty tamale pie w/green salad and newest decadent dessert Jan. 25 Tonie’s creamy chicken breast bake, mashed potatoes, veggies, salad, pig-pickin’ cake Jan. 27 Tonie’s French toast, bacon or sausage/ eggs to order, fruit, sweet rolls Jan. 29 Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day Jan. 30 Ann & Barb’s hearty homemade beef stew, salad, roll, special dessert Inane Answering Message Day All meals include coffee, tea, & hot chocolate. Don’t forget our $1 dogs every Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m.
