Guess we wonít have any snow peas, carrots, or beets. Even though my son thought he was protecting the seedlings with wire, the critters found their way in. The broccoli and cauliflower are doing well; they havenít been touched.

After battling our tenacious gopher in the front yard for over a month, my son gave up on probing and set traps in five of the runs. He got the varmint in less than two hours. Now he has to fill in the runs which are all over the lawn.

We have two flags left to sell at the Post for $20. Leave a message with Susan, our bartender, if you want to reserve one.

The Ladiesí Auxiliary is putting on a Valentineís Day Gourmet Dinner on Feb. 14. Youíll recieve five courses with wine and champagne at a cost of $25 per person. Reservations are required. Call Reba at 763-2254 for your reservation. Seating is limited.

All members of the community are invited to our meals and activities. Days and hours of operation are Wednesday and Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

And donít forget to save your pull tabs for Ronald McDonald House and cancelled stamps for "Stamps for the Wounded." But they donít need flag, liberty bell or presorted stamps.

Why ask why? Why is it that no matter what color bubble bath you use, the bubbles are always white?

If you were born in January, your flower is the Carnation and your birthstone is the Garnet.
