ANZA – Anza Ground Water Association (AGWA) recently announced the first of a series of public meetings to be held on Jan. 24 in the Anza Community Hall at 7 p.m.

Following its formation in March 2012, AGWA offers a public forum to announce the first in a series of meetings in which residents and other interests in the Valley may voice their concerns on local ground water.

In the meeting, AGWA will communicate their mission statement, goals, initiatives, and grant activities. The presentation will offer information on the fundamentals of ground water in the Anza Valley and why it is important to develop a plan to protect and preserve ground water.

As a means to seek and obtain community input, a survey will be presented allowing people to express their wishes and concerns.

AGWAs contact information will be offered including a webpage that allows the community to follow the progress and obtain updated information on ground water issues as it affects the Anza Valley. This meeting plays an important part in obtaining community input and support.
