Kathryn Ray – a fan of four years of Lizzy Anne’s – has purchased her garden center and was due to open it under her new ownership on Jan. 9. The business is a natural fit for Ray who has a noted green thumb herself, is an avid gardener and plant enthusiast.

"This has been a lifelong dream. I come here as often as I can. It is my happy place," explained Ray.

Lizzy Anne’s Garden Center was a dream that started over a decade ago by former owner Lizzy Anne, aka Elizabeth Nagy, who has become a noted icon in her own right among the townspeople for her gardening knowledge and ideas.

"Selling was not an easy decision, but for me it is time to pursue other goals. I have known Kathryn for some time now, she loves plants and loves people and they love Advertisement

[ Carrington Home Loans ] her. I would not leave this place in any other hands," said Nagy.

"Before we reopen on Jan. 9 I will be giving the place a new face lift, but I am not changing a thing. Why would I? I fell in love with it just the way Lizzy Anne had it in the first place," announced Ray.

Lizzy Anne will still be involved in teaching classes and she is also available for consultant work, something she barely had time to do before and loves to do.
