We have a few flags left to sell at the Post for $20. Leave a message with Susan, our bartender, if you want to reserve one. I hope everyone flew one on Nov. 11 to honor our veterans. All members of the community are invited to our meals and activities. Days of operation are: Wednesday and Friday from 5 to 7:30 p.m. and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. till noon. And don’t forget to save your pull tabs for Ronald McDonald House and cancelled stamps for "Stamps for the Wounded." But they don’t need flag, liberty bell or presorted stamps. Activities for the first half of November (which is "Celebrate Empty Nest Month) are: Nov. 16 Tonie’s Annual Thanksgiving dinner, potatoes w/gravy, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, green beans, rolls, Advertisement Nov. 17 Men’s Auxiliary Meeting 9 a.m. Nov. 18 Comrade’s eggs to order, bacon or sausage, all you can eat French toast Nov. 21 Reba’s Philly steak sandwich, minestrone and/or corn chowder, a decadent dessert Nov. 22 Happy Thanksgiving ($1 dogs) Nov. 23 Post open ($1 dogs) Nov. 25 Barbara’s biscuits & gravy, eggs, sausage, fruit Nov. 28 Ron’s enchiladas, rice, beans, salad, dessert Nov. 30 Comrade’s roast beef and all the trimmings All meals include coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Don’t forget our $1 dogs every Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m. Note: There was an error in the Post Newsletter listing Saturday dogs from noon to 3 p.m. They are available from 3 to 7 p.m. I don’t know why, but dogs always taste better when you eat them out with others. I’m sure it’s psychological, but I know it’s true. Why ask why? Why do mirrors reflect backwards, but not upside down? If you were born in November, your flower is the Chrysanthemum and your birthstone is the Topaz. 0 comments Be the first to share your opinion on this article! |
