The variety of media at the show will include: water color, acrylic, oil, pastel, pen and ink, photography, gourds, and mixed media. The themes will range from landscapes to flowers, portraits, and abstractions. The highlight of the gallery show will be raffled pieces of art. Ticket buyers will choose which piece, or pieces of art, they would like to take a chance on winning. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the Anza community. Ten local artists will participate in the show; their works of art will be for sale by the artists themselves. Come see the art and meet the artists: Naomie Cochrane, Angel Garcia, Rosie Grindle, Rex Harrison, Margie Kohler, Merrie Kraatz, Mary Marlin, Angela Simpson, Sue Smith and Jill Roberts. Jill Roberts is this year’s featured guest artist. Jill has recently moved to the high Advertisement By the age of 17, she had become a well-known artist in her community near Zanesville, Ohio through her artistic achievements, including airbrushing vans, motorcycles, helmets, and murals. Jill attended the prestigious Columbus College of Art Design where she earned a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts, majoring in advertising Design. Whether she is painting large wall murals or on small canvas, the process and journey of creating and applying paint never ceases to amaze, entertain, and inspire her on to greater challenges. As Colony Manager of the Dorland Mountain Arts Colony in Temecula, she is involved in the local art scene and has the distinct privilege of meeting artists, writers, musicians, and other creative individuals from all over the world who reside at Dorland for their secluded working retreats.
