The award was given at the Governing Board Building in Hemet on the eve of Feb. 28. The room was packed with team members, Coach Rebekah Mortenson, Principal Allured, and proud parents. This honor is given to one school in each sport that achieves the highest grade point average in Riverside County. It was the tremendous 3.79 grade point average that won the varsity volleyball team the award. This is the fourth time in the past two years that a Bobcat program has won the award. Previous winners were the football team in 2009, wrestling team in 2011, and the girls’ basketball team in 2011. Way to go Bobcats! 0 comments Be the first to share your opinion on this article! |
